The central factory can mass produce frozen bakery semi-finished products, frozen bakery finished products or finished bakery products, while some bakery shops are handcrafted workshops in the front and back of the factory, where production and sales are completed in the shop without relying on a large central factory.

Downstream of the bakery industry chain are various kinds of sales terminals and consumers. The sales terminals mainly include bakeries, superstores, caterers and e-commerce, which process the purchased semi-finished products into finished products, or sell the self-produced and purchased finished products directly to consumers.

Current state of development of the bakery industry：

The modern bakery industry started late in China's mainland, introduced in the 1980s by China's Hong Kong and Taiwan, after 2000, with the growth of per capita consumption level in China, the adjustment of the structure of food and beverage consumption and changes in the pace of life, bakery products with the advantages of nutrition and health, fast and diverse, etc., stepped into a period of rapid growth in China.

From the supply level, the production scale of China's bakery products industry continues to expand, according to the China Food Industry Yearbook, China's pastry and bakery industry above-scale enterprises operating income grew from 52.640 billion yuan in 2011 to 131.623 billion yuan in 2017, a compound annual growth rate of 16.50%, much higher than the overall 5.44% growth level of the food industry in the same period, also higher than the Global bakery industry growth rate. In terms of consumption, the bakery retail market is growing rapidly, with China's bakery retail sales reaching 23.2 billion yuan in 2019, up 7.4% year-on-year, and is expected to exceed 250 billion yuan in 2020.
